Derek Hernquist,
Chief Investment Officer
Derek is the CIO and co-founder of Integrative Capital, LLC. His passion for studying market behavior was hatched when he first read Investor's Daily in college. After graduating cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1992 with a BS in Finance, he began his career with Olde Discount Stockbrokers. He became branch manager at locations in Buffalo and Cleveland by age 22, eventually managing a team of 6 members in the South Florida regional office. His interest in trading led him to join Online Trading, Inc. in its infancy in 1996, where he managed the proprietary trading desk and served as VP of Operations. He served on the Board of Directors from the time the company went public in 1999 until it merged with Omega Research in 2001. At that time, he decided to move from an executive role to that of a full-time client, and launched a private investment partnership for family and friends. The introduction of volatility to markets in 2007 inspired him to create a low drawdown investment vehicle for those seeking a better way to harness the long-term potential of the markets.
He resides in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC with his wife and young son and daughter.

Patrick Donovan,
Chief Operating Officer
Pat is the COO and co-founder of Integrative Capital, LLC. He grew up in Olean NY. In 1988, he received an Army ROTC scholarship and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia PA. In 1993 he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corps.
After a career as a sales engineer and CAD designer, he joined the world of finance as a proprietary trader for onlinetrading.com in 1999. When that firm merged with Omega Research to become the TradeStation Group in 2000, Pat worked as a trade desk principal and as an Order Execution Product Manager. His duties included managing the implementation of the option order routing system as well as back-office risk management.
Pat moved to Charlotte in 2008 and currently resides in Ballantyne.

John Hamrick,
Managing Partner
John is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Integrative Capital. After nine years in the Navy, working on missile systems, and ten in the computer industry, John became interested in the stock market while attending an investment seminar. He discovered technical analysis and the cyclical nature of the markets, thus beginning his odyssey to learn how the markets work. He has been an avid student ever since, learning from market professionals, attending several seminars, visiting the trading floors of the CME and CBOT, and of course, the school of hard knocks. He's been trading his own account for the last seven years. With a degree in Psychology, John is fascinated with how the markets affect human behavior. Fear and greed are our own worst enemies when it comes to making objective decisions with our money. The recent market events have made everyone more aware of the risks involved with investing, and John believes in maximizing profits by minimizing losses. He is excited about the opportunity to help individuals navigate the markets.
John lives in Charlotte with his wife and two daughters.
Joey Fishman
Portfolio Manager
After a successful career managing advertising and multi-media productions, as well as running a boutique financing firm (JCF Advisors), Joey found his calling as a proprietary trader. His artistic background and creative process provided an ideal platform for pattern recognition. He began digging deep into areas such as Price/Volume Analytics, Algorithms, and Cognitive Sciences and applied those skills to trading. Through back-testing and live trading, he settled into a unique combination of mean reversion and trend-following that he applies to swing trading. Prior to joining Integrative Capital, Joey worked with Paulson Investment Company's proprietary trading department and has been intra-day trading for 6 years. Joey's disciplined approach is largely influenced by the works of Dr. Brett Steenbarger and James Dalton.
Joey lives in Portland, OR with his wife and dog Bala.
